The course aims to provide participants with knowledge, skills and attitudes related to effectively participating in the development, implementation and maintenance of a workplace OHS management system (OHSMS).

It focuses on the need to manage OHS risks in the workplace, identifies the key elements of an OHS management systems and the interaction between managers, employees and their representatives in such a system. Therefore the training methods place an emphasis on the active participation of all course participants.

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.

A Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment will be issued to those who successfully complete the workplace based project as part of the Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety.
