ASSESSMENT

Learning occurs both off-the-job and on-the-job. There are workplace-based projects and assignments that participants complete in their own time. Participants are expected to apply in the workplace what they learn in the course and to be able to demonstrate they meet the competency standards through assessment.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the completion of the program participants should be able to apply:

  • Interviewing, counselling and negotiation techniques
  • Cost benefit analyses, determining salary packaging and assessing and managing risk
  • Analysis of strategic and operational plans to deliver and evaluate human resources requirements
  • Compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements

AWARD

Diploma of Human Resources Management will be awarded to those who successfully complete 8 units, 3 core units and 5 electives, and complete assessment projects to meet the requirements at AQF Level 5.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING

Some training course participants may apply for recognition of competencies (skills and knowledge) that they already possess, for the whole course or any part. Participants who receive RPL need not undertake the respective course. Where RPL is granted, the participant is given full equivalent status as participants who successfully complete the course. To apply for RPL participants must make a formal application. Application forms and information, including RPL fee, are available on request.
