Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110
Those aspiring to enter the field of Training and Development or those in the field wishing to formalise their knowledge and skills within the formal education framework.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is comprised of 10 Units: 7 Core Units and 3 Elective Units. Although each course can be undertaken as a stand-alone skills set, it is recommended that, should you wish to undertake the full qualification, you complete each course in the listed order.
Learning occurs both off-the-job and on-the-job. There are workplace-based projects and assignments that participants complete in their own time. Participants are expected to apply in the workplace what they learn in the course and to be able to demonstrate they meet the competency standards through assessment.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will provide the workplace trainer with knowledge and skills based on the competency standards underpinning the six courses.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment will be awarded to those persons who successfully complete 10 Units: 7 Core Units and 3 Elective Units and also successfully complete assessment projects to meet the requirements at AQF Level 4.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Some training course participants may apply for recognition of competencies (skills and knowledge) that they already possess for the whole course or any part. Participants who receive RPL need not undertake the respective course. Where RPL is granted, the participant is given full equivalent status as participants who successfully complete the course.
