DURATION
Certificate IV in Human Resources comprises of 10 Units: 4 Core Units and 6 Electives
ASSESSMENT
Learning Occurs both off-the-job and on-the-job. There are workplace based projects and assignments that participants complete on their own time. Participants are expected to apply in the workforce what they learn in the course and be able to demonstrate they meet competency standards through assessment.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
The course outcomes will provide for the acquisition of in-depth knowledge in some areas of human resource management and application of skills across a broad range of contexts such as:
- Functions, activities and interrelationship in human resource management
- Employment legislation
- Recruitment, selection and induction of employees
- Industrial relations in the workplace
- Organisational performance and individual management
- Interpersonal skills
AWARD
Certificate IV in Human Resources will be awarded to those who successfully complete the 10 units, 4 core units and any 6 of the Electives and complete assessment projects to meet the requirements of AQF Level 4.
RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING
Some training course participants may apply for recognition of competencies (skills and knowledge) that they already possess, for the whole course or any part. Participants who receive RPL need not undertake the respective course. Where RPL is granted, the participant is given full equivalent status as participants who successfully complete the course.
