Certificate IV in Leadership and Management BSB42015
Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders, those aspiring to management positions and managers wishing to enhance their level of competency.
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management comprises of 12 Units: 4 Core Units and 8 Elective Units.
Depending upon existing skills and knowledge of the individual participant, completion of this qualification may require a time commitment of up to 450 hours, including class attendance.
Learning occurs both off-the-job and on-the-job. There are workplace based projects and assignments that participants complete in their own time. Participants are expected to apply in the workplace what they learn in the course and to be able to demonstrate they meet the competency standards through assessment.
Certificate IV in Leadership and Management will be awarded to those who successfully complete 12 Units: 4 Core units and 8 Elective units and complete assessment projects to meet the requirements at AQF Level 4.
At the completion of the program participants should be able to:
- Apply management principles that are able to increase productivity at the operational level
- Translate management concepts into workplace action plans
- Improve workplace safety
- Improve team performance and facilitate change
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Some training course participants may apply for recognition of competencies (skills and knowledge) that they already possess for the whole course or any part. Participants who receive RPL need not undertake the respective course. Where RPL is granted, the participant is given full equivalent status as participants who successfully complete the course.
