The aim of this course is to enable participants to participate in the planning, conduct and reporting of investigations of incidents which have resulted in or have a potential to result in injury or damage.

Award

A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course. A Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment will be issued to those who successfully complete the workplace based project as part of the Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety

Learning Outcomes
On completion of the course participants should be able to:

  • List the information that an employer is required to keep on workplace accidents
  • State how to investigate and evaluate the events of a workplace accident in terms of management’s responsibility to provide a healthy and safe workplace
  • Make recommendations to improve health and safety procedures
