MANUAL HANDLING EMPLOYEE AWARENESS
This course seeks to provide appropriate training for employees and managers in the form of a Manual Handling Awareness Program. It is designed to assist organisations that are implementing OHS strategies in accordance with the OHS Regulation and National Code of Practice. The outcome is aimed at creating awareness in staff when dealing with any workplace manual handling task in an effort to prevent manual handling injuries.

Award
A certificate of attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.

On successful completion of this course participants should be able to:
- Identify and apply management strategies for dealing with manual handling in the workplace
- Describe the legislation and code of practice relating to manual handling
- Understand the relationship between the body and manual handling
- Participate in hazard identification and risk assessment
- Apply knowledge of control measures for manual handling risks
