The managing workforce planning course is a unit of competency for the Diploma of Human Resources Management. The course is designed for human resources manager and staff as well as executives concerned with planning the level and skills needed for the effective current and future operation of the organisation. Workforce planning is a strategy and associated set of procedures by which on organisation’s staffing needs are identified allowing organisations to implement specific action plans to address those needs.

This course provides participants with the knowledge and skills to complete and implement a plan for workforce strategies to achieve organisational goals. Group discussion and organisation differences will be utilised in this process.Issues that will be covered include aligning the number, skills and development of the workforce with business plans and the ability to analyse the relevant labour markets. It will also involve designing recruitment and succession plans to ensure a competent and diverse workforce.

Award
