The manage termination and separation course is a unit of competency in the Diploma of Human Resources Management. The course is designed for any level of staff responsible and engaged in the employee termination and separation process, including exit interviews.The course covers all aspects of the employee separation process including employer initiated termination of an employment contract.Participants will be able to undertake research and consultation to determine features of best practice systems of termination/separation and the legal requirements.
Also participants will know procedures to ensure dismissal or termination respects employees, provides confidentiality and complies with legislation.Planning and sound strategy implementation will be covered including outplacement services, consulting, exit interview and human resources feedback.Practical case studies will be utilised as well as group discussion on the diversity of termination and separation of employment processes.

Award
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.
A Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment will be issued to those who successfully complete the workplace based project as part of the Diploma of Human Resources Management.
