A prerequisite for this course is working knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulation or completion of the course OHS Risk Management.
Learn how to use an audit system to identify problems and improve an effective occupational health and safety management system. Participants gain an insight into the concept of the effectiveness of the management of OHS and compliance against agreed benchmarks, safety systems and the auditing safety systems, monitoring and improving.

- Identify the duty of care, regulations and Code of Practice that apply
- The concepts of a hierarchy of controls and practicability
- Risk treatment options and Risk Management Standards
- Sources of information on risk control
- Conducting the assessment by the application of monitoring, reviewing and improving processes
- Reporting and the audit function in risk control
- Evaluating the effectiveness of the system
- Assess if improvements to system have occured
Award
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued at the completion of the course.
A Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment will be issued to those who successfully complete the workplace based project as part of the Advanced Diploma of Occupational Health and Safety.
